The Color Box

Teal All The Things
*Press Sample - Provided for Honest Review

Hey Hey Hey! It has been forever. I know I promised that I would be back with some more blogs that I needed to write but I have been so SWAMPED! May was incredibly busy for me and my business, and then I got sick, and well then life. I'm not trying to make excuses for my lack of being around, I feel horrible that I haven't been here interacting with all of you, I just haven't been able to find that balance I am so desperately looking for. I've decided, aside from this post today, to take a bit of a hiatus, until I go to Cosmorpof. I will have lots of coverage from the indie event and I already can't wait to share it with all of you!!

Ok, so, lets talk about the Teal Box. I was so excited for Teal! I feel like the 5 of us and the 5 makers did a great job showing off the variety that can be teal! Should we get to it?

Macro collage

Steal the One, created by KbShimmer and XoXo Jen

Steal the One: I have two coats here with no topcoat. Application was a breeze and was fully opaque in 2 coats. This is a A Rich teal holo with gold to copper shifting UCC flakies and a super blue fiery flame! Inspired by the song Still the One by Orleans

Teal the End of Time, Created by FireCracker Lacquer and Cosmetic Sanctuary

Teal the End of Time: My photos show 3 coats with topcoat. I used 3 coats to get full opaqueness, I still saw some VNL with just the 2 coats. It could be because I have a strong nail line and this may not be the case for you. This is a Medium dark teal jelly with scattered holo and pink shimmer. This isn't fully color accurate. It leans much more blue in my photos.

Merman, Pops, MER MAN, created with Starlight on my Mind and BEGL

Merman, Pops, MERMAN: My photos show 2 coats plus topcoat. I did get a big flake chunk in my bottle and it of course landed RIGHT ON MY MIDDLE FINGER, LOL. Application was easy as per all BEGL. This is a bright teal with strong copper to gold shimmer and blue/teal/violet color shifting flakies.

Manna's Majestic Masterpiece, created with Anchor and Heart Lacquer and Manna's Manis

Manna's Majestic Masterpiece: My photos show 2 coats, no topcoat. This is my first time using this brand and the application was amazing! Went on like butter, no clean up! This is Light linear holo teal with soft blue shimmer and gold flakes.

Finally, Happy Birthday Teal Me created with Darling Diva Polish and MOI!

So, why did I name it Happy Birthday Teal Me? Because, how many times do you get to create a box exclusive polish in your birthday month AND show it off the day before your birthday... this is like ONCE IN A LIFETIME STUFF! My photos show 2 coats plus topcoat. This is like the 4th time I have had it on my nails this month. Now, the formula is a little thicker because it has a boatload of goodies in it to suspend. This is a light teal crelly base with purple to pink to blue flakes, holographic flakes and a holo microglitter... I told you it had a boatload of goodies in it.

That's all!!! What did you think of the teal box? I personally loved it!

The Color Box

The Color Box
A Blogger-Maker Collaboration Box
*Provided for Honest Review*

I know you guys have seen this box promoted and I know that you know purple is my favoritiest color ever, like EVARRRR! I was honored to be apart of this collaboration box. Because, awesome friends and makers and obviously because purple. I'm not sure if everyone is aware about how this box came to light but if you aren't, you can thank Manna Berg as she was the one that said that she wanted an all same color box, I.E. the purple box, etc. Jen Carter and I stepped in and started tagging makers that we knew. Then, before one could blink, this was all in the works and well, then we get to where we are today!

Hello... from the other side!

Where have I been...

First of all, it is really weird to write this with NO PICTURES though, I think I will add some to get rid of the inherent weirdness I am feeling right now! I am writing this while I am swatching polish, so while each coat dries, I write a little and go back and forth.

Darling Diva Polish - Lost in Love Collection

*Provided for Honest Review

Can I just say how much I adore this collection! Carrie has been hinting for a while that she was going to do something different and SHE DID! These are unique, they're vastly different than most DDP and they're beyond beautiful! I was really excited that she wanted me to blog them and the magical that happened is AMAZING! Let's not forget that this collection is based off of Air Supply (I may have given her some crap about it, you decide!) I am done with the intro.

Glitter Daze - Holiday 2015

Holiday 2015
*Provided for Honest Review

As you can tell from the title, I'M REALLLLLLLY behind! My sincere apologies to Sana of Glitter Daze Polishes. I have no excuses. I just couldn't find the energy to blog. I have had these swatched for several weeks, I just couldn't blog, well it isn't that I couldn't, it was that I had no motivation. That's also why I disappeared. I think after everything that has happened in the last 3 to 4 months, I just became really overwhelmed. I can't say that I didn't paint my nails but it was significantly less than normal, I'm talking I was wearing chipped polish and only polishing once every 6 days or so (the TRAGEDY of even admitting that!)

I really hope that I am back and back on a regular schedule. I need to figure out a schedule for myself between work, blogging and the additional job I am about to take on. I feel awful about falling off of he face of the earth for essentially the last 7 weeks. I need you guys to know that you even clicking on the link to my blog means the world to me. I owe you more than just disappearing for 7 weeks without saying a work. If I am going to take a break again, I will at least do my best to let it be known. Shall we get to the polishes?
